- We started planning a rather significant addition (1,400 sq ft.) to our 100+ year old house last fall ('06). Chan Redfield made himself available to us and the architect during the initial drawing phase. We had a couple of face-to-face meetings with Chan and one "walk through" with Chan and the architect. Plans were greatly improved on and finalized in a way that everybody was on the same page.
Construction began in June '07 and ended Sept. '07. Chan's crews were professional, clean and most competent. In particular, Mike Fox was an effective "quarterback" and a very talented carpenter. The Redfield crew wore many different hats during construction as they prepared the foundation, decked the floors, built the framework and walls, and roofed the entire building. Finish work was coordinated with the outside carpet layer and other subcontractors.
All in all, a wonderful house received an addition that compliments the original. Our inconveniences were minimal and our happiness with the project is at the highest level. Redfield Contracting helped us not only plan our dream, but delivered it!
